Dear Danni,

I think I know how you feel. I too had the same feeling like you mentioned when I was younger. If you give yourself a chance to meet the first one again now, I think he is not someone exactly like you think he used to be. First of all, 10 years have already passed, he had gone thru so many changes and commitments in his life. After getting to know all these changes, I guess you would definately prefer your own husband who have been with you all these while without fail. He is the best in your life afterall you had just said. The characteristics of your first one is not like what you think already. You don't have to meditate on this matter and you are not advisable to meditate and think of someone of the opposite sex in your meditation. I think it is not the right way to meditate. I hope someone would add more asnwers to your question. Metta to you.
: I have been trying to meditate to rid myself of feelings/longings that I have recently had. I have been married for ten years and consider myself to be very lucky. My husband is truely one of a kind. He is kind, gentle and an all around great guy. Although he is not buddhist like I am, he is very understanding and has always supported me. The problen that I am currently having is that a previous relationship (before my husband) has been invading my mind. It bothers me greatly. Although I do feel that my true soulmate was with my first relationship, I would never let that interupt my current life. I am trying to meditate to rid myself of this delima, however, it is not working. Usually meditation clears my mind, but not with this subject, any help would be appreciated.
