I am a new commer. Iwas born 49 years ago in a small
village in Bangladesh in a Bengali Buddhist family. It is said that my encestors were the inhebitant of Bihar
and inherited Buddhism from Buddha's day.In fact Buddhism was a very popular religion for more than 700
years in India. But the black day started with the raise of Shankyacaria of Bramanical order and it was all hel lose on Buddhism when Muslim invedor invaded
India. To save thier life and religion some pepole started retret towards east and finaly they got a place surrounded by high hills, called Chittagong.
It is in Bangladeah.
Now there lives 3-4 million Bengali Buddhist at present. After 1947 some bengali buddhist again started migrating to India following division of India into India & Pakistan.
I feel very great & humble to know that my encestors were the bearer of Theravada Buddhism which is considered the real Buddhism parctised as per the norms laid down in Tripitakas and Lord Buddha's direction.

I also feel very happy that Buddhism has gained a substential presence in Western Capitalistic World.

Let all the creatures in the Universe be happy.

With utmost maytri to all
