The subjectline of this posting may be a bit strange, I know.
Anyway, I don't know if you have heard about the Maitreya Project going on in Bodhgaya, India?
A 500-ft / 152.4-metre bronze statue of Maitreya Buddha is being designed to last for at least 1,000 years — through our new millennium and into the next. The statue is scheduled for completion in January, 2005.
I will surely be attending when the grand opening is and I don't know if anyone of you are planning to be there just like me. I know that it is a long time until 2005 but you can rest asure that it will be quite crowded and hotels are likely to be booked a long while before the actual opening. Also it is quite costly, at least for me so I have to save a lot of money to go there. Well, if anyone would like meet me in India 2005 (Wow, that really is a long time from now) I would love the company. Maybe we could travel to other places in India and also to Nepal, going from one monastery to the other...
Hmm, I won't keep going on anymore about this, unless I am asked to do that...
BTW, if you haven't visited the website of the project, you should do this right away.
