: Namaste fellow Buddhas
: I am beginner in Buddism. There are so many different schools and tradtions in buddism like Mahayana and Theravada. Vaibeshika,Madhyamika, and Yogacara schools. How does one know which path to follow? How do I find a teacher? Or should I just meditate and whatever happens happens.

Traditions such Theravada, Vaibeshika, and Madhyamika are really versions of Buddism that comes from countries such as Thailand and in that area, Mahayana is a high path in Tibetan Buddhism, go back down this site and pick up on the topics that are on it and you will see one that has A Lamas E-mail. For the moment just read some easy and don't get hooked onto terms. What I mean by that is the basic paths. Come on the rest of you and explain what I am trying to say here. Welcome aboard, and know things always work out. I am sorry I don't know where you are located in the world so I can't lead you in a direction here.

Susan
