: Where did you get the idea that all Buddhist are vegatarians? You will find to your disapointment that in other Buddhist countries that have been here hundreds of years do eat meat, fish and all sorts of goodies. The body can suffer without some sort of protein. Its done with wisdom, when the body craves something beside vegatables, its telling you that it needs whatever it wants. Once the body level is at it owns level again, then you can go back to whatever you were doing.
: Listen to the body.
I, too, mean no disrespect to Susan, but I also disagree with the idea that our bodies need meat.
But there are a lot of people out there, be they buddhists or non-buddhists, are vegetarians since the day they came to this world and many of them are very healthy.
I always believe this, everyone of us whether buddhist or non-buddhist, thinks that what one's think is right. So, who is wrong? Where is the middle path?
