PRAYER FLAGS are always auspicious when placed high across buildings. The winds waft against the mantras and all sentient beings including birds and other flying insects benefit from the mantras. BUT take note of the dates you put up the flags. When you put up prayer flags on the wrong astrological dates, [paden tharwo], you will continuously encounter obstacles. For as long as the prayer flags last, obstacles will continuously arise. This also applies to long prayer flags and banners. The following are the wrong dates according to the Tibetan calendar:

10th and 22nd of the first, fifth and ninth months
7th and 19th of the second, sixth and tenth months
4th and 16th of the third, seventh and eleventh months
1st and 13th of the fourth, eighth and twelfth months

With Metta,
Andreas
