That's the million dollar questionm isn't it? To know what reaches enlightenment is to know your true self. And only you can know that. Sure, we can see it isn't our bodys that reach enlightenment, they die. Our preceptions? Our ideas or thoughts? These things all seem to come and go, they are not us. So, what goes? A difficult question that I'm not sure is answered in the scripture; but perhaps it's not what goes, but what is left behind. We all have full awareness, perhaps Nirvana is simpley our unobscured awareness. I really am not sure. I really hope this helps, but am unsure of it's accuracy. Bye, Metta.
