Yes, thank you both of you!

Yet, you did not really grasp my question, as what I was trying to ask was "The Formidable Why": What is the origin of ignorance, aversion and attachment? Why are we here in Samsara, trying to get out of it?

As far as I have read what Buddha answered to this kind of questioning, was that metaphysical speculations are useless diversions. True seekers of liberation do not waste time on things like that, but work diligently on their own salvation. Am I right?

Well,neither on the Indian front has any sane answer popped up during 4.000 years (at least) of thinking and pondering. Some Vedantins say that Brahman felt lonely, and so had to create the universe. Others say that the universe and mankind are a dance or sport of
Brahman. (Donīt sound convincing!)Well, then there are
the atheists of Samkhya, who postulate nobody as the
fundamental cause.
