: I was wondering how to become a budhist because I am very interested in moving to Tibet and actually living in the monastaries and learn everything from meditation to the language.

yes, what andreas has said is completely true,
unfortunately the situation in Tibet as i understand it now is even worse than mentioned.
So going to tibet is out of the question, unless
you wish to join the monks in the forced study of communism.
so search for the teachings, find the practices and try your best not to identify with intellectualism, just practice more and more,
and then even more, with the strongest will possible. what you seek is within you.
There is a book, called "hercolobus or red planet" by V.M RABOLU --Look into this book,
there are things there that no one has heard of before, things that seem impossible, and fake, there are great practices in this book, and i have verified what the author says , meaning i have seen with my own eyes, and felt with my heart,the reality he talks about... so i know what he says is 100% true, ... the author is a great great master, one to which there a few to compare, he had physical death early this year. But YOU SHOULD learn to astral travel, concentrate on him... strongly as you fall asleep at night, and then in the astral you can see and talk to this master. so you will know the truth about anything you seek, and for that matter, you may seek any master, and gain knowledge. {ask for proof, that they are who they say they are -this is very important}
