There a several purification practices, perhaps many, my knowledge is small. For those who have taken Bodhisattva vow there is the Confession of Moral Downfalls (or Sutra of Three Superior Heaps). For those in the Vajrayana, there is the Recitation and Meditation of The Solitary Vajrasattva, which in my experience is most often associated with purification. There are several forms of this depending upon empowerments, transmission, samaya vows. Senior students at my Dharma Centre would teach a version of the Hundred Syllable Mantra and Meditation that they said "was suited for general (non-samaya) practice."
Tharpa Publications (www.tharpa.com) publishes the sadhana for this. It should be discussed in books dealing with the preparatory or preliminary practices of the Vajrayana.
