This does indeed seem to be a valuable message board so it is here that I will first ask for some directions.
I have recently started reading Robert A. E. Thurman' Book Essential Tibetan Buddhism, and have experianced a change in my opions and focus because of what I have read thus far. I simply wish to know if this is considered relevant material and would also appreciate it if any of you could recommend any other titles.
I have been aware of Buddhist teachings for many years now but due to my own ignorance at the time never really studied or applied myself to anything that I had learned.
After experiencing an awakening that I can only explain as having someone else enter my mind early this year, I have not been able to find enough information or even people to help in my current search. I now live in rural NSW and the libraries in my area whilst quite amply stocked in western literature have very little available on the subject of any varient of Buddhism.
Any help or directions are greatly appreciated in advance, I am open for email discussion via the supplied address as well if any of you can spare the time.
Thankyou for your time
