I am not qualified to go into scriptures but if you will turn the word arond, evil comes down to live. Perhaps if the scriptures are taken out of it, man is born fundlementally good, he has the choice of free will to do as he wishes and really what is evil and what is good? Maybe if we could get over this word, it may mean nothing at all except to live and do the best we can. If man is born as I said fundlementally good and with the potential of Buddha, well???????
