Hi everyone,

I don't really think that being a vegetarian makes us a more healthy person nor a more compassionate human being compared to people that eat meat. Even HH Dalai Lama eats meat. He eats meat one day and vegetarian food the next and so on...
I guess I am somewhat split in this question about vegetarianism. I like veggie food but I also like meat so I try to eat both of them.
I would also like to say that all animals that have been killed for the purpose of being sold as meat for humans haven't been tortured.

Anyway, I am just blabbering right now so I will stop this post by quoting an interview with HH Dalai Lama concerning the killing of living beings.

Reporter:
What would you do if a mosquito would bite you on your arm?
HH Dalai Lama:
I would blow it away!
Reporter:
What if it would return?
HH Dalai Lama:
(laughter) Then I would whisk it off!
Reporter:
And if it still came back?
HH Dalai Lama:
(hard laughter) Then I would smash it!

That it from me now.

With Metta,
Andreas
