I had posted a message before on this subject and Sergio was kind enough to give me some thoughts on it but I want to talk about not just the spiritual aspect of it but there are many others out here that do not have families or such to help with the practical aspect of this so in thinking of all aspects of it, I have made a appointment with my Doctor to talk serious with her on this particular subject. We each must take responsiblity for this process to ensure that should something take place that our wishes are carried out and I am finding out or I have always known but haven't ever done anything as my son knew what I wanted but now that he is no longer here that I have to take the bull by the horns and do what is necessary. There are papers that have to filled out and your Doctor has to have a written directive from you and both you that your Doctor need to have complete understanding as to what can take place so you are in control and not the medical. Also, if there is no one to ask for advice such as family or if there is no one to contact of your death, then one must arrangements before hand to have these things taken care of. I have worked in this field for 20 years and have seen the best of it and have seen the worst of it and to be totally frank, death can come at any moment and that is truth and if one can get that all wrapped up, then one can live in a state of freedom that one is prepared at any time. I have asked before for advice and either no one wants to talk about it or is in denial or assumes that we all know what to do, well I ask once more that anyone out there knows or has any answers to what I am trying to do, I would be greatly appreciated for any information.
This also includes wills and objects that we possess and its a serious issue. The only thing that one has if one is in terminal state is that there is time to resolve this issues but for the majority of us, we never prepare because we expect to live forever. I can't tell you the peace I felt when I had a family member that knew what I wanted done now that is changed and I can't play with it any longer. Won't you all come forth and help me?
