Dear Buddhist friends,
Could anybody tell me, books that explain the meaning of Buddha and Boddhisatva statues?
Their gesture (Mudra), color, and so on. Where can purchase this book?
Thank you for information.

: There are many different kinds of Buddha statues and each of them represent a Buddha, Boddavsata (MS) and the way they are sitting and standing or position has a symbolic meaning behind it.
: There are many out here and the country they come from will help but some of the main ones will be in some form in each country.
: Should you come across one that really makes the heart ring and you can afford it, bring it home and give it a home.
: I found that traveling that no matter what country I was in, I would always find a Buddha Statue that did that and I always considered it a blessig and when I came home and found out who it was, I was always pl3asantly surprised.
: Art is a great form of learning when one is not able to put into words or understand the words, it zzaps the inner mind and makes connection.
