Sergio,
Thank you for the pages of thoughts and I have just printed them out, I know what you write about and since Vajrasatva is my main practice and mantra, I had always figured I would go with that along with the rest of resting with my teachers.
Some of the things you wrote were interesting and very informative as I had forgotton some things and I needed that review. I have in the past made sure that my mother and even my son were able to die in the fashion you are talking about. I do need to do Powa as its one I have never done and need to have done. YOU were so clear on so many issues and very straight forward and I do thank you for that.
It is such a new experience to be alone in this world but do know I do plan to make sure all is finished and soon as I want that feeling of freedom that comes with having everything completed and most of us have families, I have no one so will go forward and get these things done.
It is very important for your Doctor to know what you want done as I had to do this with my own mother when she was in her final steps of death and I just got lucky that the nurses listened and everyone cooperated. I had a Lama on her before she died and with her within 10 minutes after her death.
My son had a good environment which was here and a good place to die and time enough for the process to take place before he was found and Lamas here and with me in Nepal (didn;t kow it at the time) and my own Root Lama so it worked out well.
I have always tried to do what I knew was right for those that were not Buddhist plus those that were and I think that each of us want good deaths for all and especially for our family and ourselves but we have to let those around us know what is the requirements so we can meet our death with dignity and with grace and let the process proceed as it should.
Your words were very special and I will hold them close to my heart.

Many blessings,
Susan S
