Just by airing your comcerns and wishes is commendable. At 46, I'm still finding out things about myself. When I get down, it's usually because something is not the way I feel it should be, or it's the way I don't want it to be. Attachment! I don't know what kind of therapy you were doing, but if it helps, keep it up. I would say meditation is a great start, if you don't already. Also, look back through past forum comments for good reading suggestions. For some it's Buddhist practice, others Christianity, Judaism, etc. Keep searching and find the path that touches your heart. You are not separate from all around you! Whenever I get down, it really feels that way, but it's not. We affect others and others affect us. Thelifestyle we live and the people we are around make a difference too. I don't know what you life situation is, but take a close look at the details and the other not so obvious one. All humans are truly blessed/lucky to be alive. Spiritual practice is one of many. There is so much we can do for others and ourselves. That's all that comes to me right now. Meditation/contemplation, realizing we are all inter-connected, studying many paths and kindness/compassion for others and ourselves. Good luck, peace to you and I know you will find what you are searching for. It does take awhile.
