Well... I've heard some anti-abortion, anti-suicude, anti-deathpenalty, anti-euthanasia from Buddhists. Generally, anything that deprives life from anything is bad, but as many people (ie, Sergio) have also discussed, motivation is as important, if not more so, then the result. So if the motivation of euthanasia is to ease ones suffering then maybe it's good, but let us not forget that this is assisted suicide which is the result of ignorance of the person dieing, so the euthanasia may be placeing them into the hell realm. So, while the guy helping the suicide may honestly believe he's doing the best, he may actually cause more harm to both himself and the other person (if he knows he may be damageing the other persons rebirth potential). So, in my opinion, euthanasia is not a good thing... but I'm not sure if I wouldn't do such a thing for a family member (maybe I'm a bad person in this way?). Well, hope that helps. Metta.
