: Concerning rebirth
: rebirth ceeps on happening until somebody achieves
: enlightenment.
: Why try to achieve enlightenment if one knows that then the process of rebirth ends ?
: Isn't is much nicer to be reborn for ever ?

A Mahayana view, maybe:

We want to learn and practice to a level so that rebirth, or not, makes no difference to our daily lives.
It (rebirth, or desire, among other things) is not something that we work hard to get rid off quick.
It is something that we want to work (not directly) on so it does not push us to the wrong direction.
"Can not find a foothole to work on", not "stop working".
