I haven't read the other replies to your post, so i hope this isn't just repeat info. But DharmaNet has a useful listing of Buddhist Centers and practice groups in Florida. Goto...
Look under all 3 of the USA listings. All three have information on places you can go to learn Buddhism in Florida. I'm not sure where Delray Beach is, but there seems to be a pretty large list of possibilities.
The best way to learn about Buddhism is to study under a qualified teacher/master and to read on your own as well. Of course practice is essential to really understand what Buddhism teaches, but you need to learn some concepts first. Also, if you check out some centers or groups, don't be afriad to look into others if you don't feel comfortable at the first one.
Buddhism can do what you're looking for, but it takes time and effort and is not always easy. Just don't want you to have any illusions that Buddhism offers a quick fix. Such a thing does not exist.
But if you're sincere in your effort, you'll reap significant benefits soon enough.
Hope the site helps and I wish you the best.
