Mister Hebat,

That's a very useful site you pointed us to.. the site with links to the many Mahayana Sutras in English. I was hoping to find just such a site! Thank you very much.

If you, or anyone else, know of additional sites that provide a listing of on-line Sutras and links to them (Sutras from all traditions), would you please post those too. I do know of the Pali Canon at Access to Insight. That is also a real treasure!

Thanks again,

There many Mahayana Sutra, which dealt about this.
: Please visit:
: You can read Amitabha Sutra, Medicine Master Sutra, etc.
: Maybe this can help

: Best regards,

: Mister Hebat
: : Brian,

: : See the thread started 10/10 by Remy titled "Living Buddhas." It addresses this.

: : If such a number where stated in the Sutras, I suspect it would be with regard to this particular world system (since it began and will end), but I'm not familiar with these numbers. Nor have I read all the Sutras!! :)

: : At least the Mahayana Sutras speak of countless Buddhas in the past, present, and future regarding all world systems in all directions.

: : If the source is not a Sutra.. well, it is as always up to you what you do with it.

: : But if you find that source in a Sutra, would you post here? I'm interested to read it.

: : Best wishes,
: : David

: : : i remember reading somewhere quite recently that there were 7 (? i can't remember exactly...) buddha's before Gotama, and there were still 13 to come. anyone know where a site or any information that i could confirm this with?

: : : tell me it wasn't a dream or that i wasn't hallucinating ;)
