Sakya Tradition

Hi All,

I'm moving early next year and was hoping to continue my buddhist studies at a nearby dharma centre (near to where I am moving). The only problem (if it really is one) is that this centre follows the Sakya tradition of which I know very little. Up until now I have been almost completely caught up in the Geluk tradition and am not sure in which ways the two might vary.

So I guess my question is...

Can anyone tell me anything about the Sakya tradition and/or how it may vary from the Geluk tradition?
