On Buddha or Buddhism? I can suggest one book which is a staple for new Buddhists, "Awakening the Buddha Within" by Lama Surya Das. ISBN: 0767901576. This is a very enojoyable overview of Buddhism, after this other material will be easier and more enjoyable. I'm sure others will be happy to suggest a book to you as well. Metta.
