Dear Wade:

Buddhism is very different to Islam. I mean, completaly different. The Dalai Lama uses to cry when he is asked for his opinion about the musilm women. He gets really sad just for thinking about their horrible condition in that culture.
It doesn't matter wich kind of buddhism we talk about, any buddhist could accept the musilm culture, where women are inferior and must use all kind of things in their faces. Buddhism is a culture of happiness, not a culture of fear and horrible traditons (musilms use to extirpate women's clitoris!!). That's unbelivable!!.

They also use to cut your hands if you rob, or even cut your head if you do something more serious. They do this in public!!.

As a buddhist I respect all spiritual traditions, but Islam maybe not. I respect believes and faiths, but I do not respect a behavour of harming. Buddhists don't kill even an ant, so for Buddhists the idea of killing and mutilating humans is inconceivable. That's why Buddhist people have been always persecuted by musilms in human history.

In a few words: If you want to find the opposite of the musilm culture, that's the buddhist one.

Best Regards

Sergio
