: : I just want to ask if Buddhists regard Buddha as their God or they just follow His teachings.

: : Sorry, i have so much to do that i can't find the time to read articles about Buddhism. This is much easier.

: Buddhists follow Buddha's teachings, not at him. We do not consider a Buddha as a God, but a awakened man. A Buddhist has as objective to become a Buddha, because we consider that Buddhahood is the highest legacy of human race.

: For example, a Chrystian could not say that his objective is to become a God, because there is a very strong difference between human nature and God's nature. But a Buddhist doesn't see any difference between a Buddha's nature and a human nature. That's why there are so many Buddhas: anyone can become one, and to be a Buddha doesn't mean to be superior, but to be awakened. That's why it is said that Buddhism is atheist.

: Hope it be useful.

Thank you Sergio. You have proven my point that Buddhists do not regard Buddha as their God. That you just follow his teeachings.

I have this impression that Buddhists are so kind and levelheaded.

Thanks a lot,
Mitch
