I am having problem in my marriage and my mother (who is a buddhist) told me that I am suffering right now because of my bad karma, because when I was young I was such a difficult child for her. I just don't believe she said that! I am a buddhist and at some point (or even now) believe in bad/good karma (I am always nice to other people and always stay away from anything unplesant.),however, I believe that there are more things to do w/the differces in between two peoples'lives than just because we are paying off our bad karma. I don't understand why do we need to hang on to our bad life experience (mostly unfotunate incidents) to remind ourselves that we are today because what we did bad things innocently many years ago. Why do we have to surround ourselves w/those negative energy? Why can't we just let go of it and accept the fact that sometime people grew apart or changed and it could cause those unhappy moment. We can simply look deep to the problem and solve it logically.
Do we have to remind ourselves about our bad karma so we could feel better about our suffering in this present moment? Why?
I just don't get it?
